When you're two of the greatest players in the history of the NBA, you can do a lot of things with a basketball: knock down half-court shots; posterize other humans with rim-shaking dunks, and demoralize fanbases with clutch-time performances, among other things.

If you're LeBron James and Stephen Curry, you can do just about anything with a basketball in your hands, right?

    Well, almost anything.

This past weekend at the Team USA Basketball training camp, a shocking admission was made by both superstars during the photo shoot. It appears that neither Curry nor LeBron are able to execute the simple task of spinning a basketball on their finger.

You know, the little trick you typically learn as a third-grader?

"I can do a lot of things with a basketball, a lot of things," Curry said. "But that is the one thing that I can not do."

If you haven't seen the video of the Team USA players being asked if they could accomplish the trivial task or not, it's worth a watch. So far, the video has over 2.2 million views on X. Most players are successful, but a surprising few — Tyrese Haliburton and Joel Embiid along with James and Curry — are unable.

"As a little kid, don't you just sit around and practice this all day?" Jrue Holiday rightfully asks.

The reactions of others, like Kevin Durant and Bam Adebayo, when they find out that some can't do it is what makes the video so great. Adebayo delivered a perfect response when being told that Haliburton was unable.

"Gen Z," the Miami Heat center said with an eye roll.

"Joel? That's sickening," Durant added. "I thought he had more coordination than that."

It's not a shock that 100% of the team can't spin a ball on their finger, but the fact that Curry is unable to still remains mindblowing. As a man who is so artfully skilled with the ball, and routinely able to knock down pre-game trick shots and in-game circus shots, it feels like he would have to be able to do this.

"That is one of the most embarrassing things," Curry said. "You've got me nervous just thinking about it."

Maybe his teammates can teach him how while they are together in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
