What happens in the Futurama Season 12 trailer?
The Season 12 trailer highlights the crew’s next space adventures, as they once again find themselves in the most crazy situations. This comes after several months since the revival scored a two-season renewal.
Futurama is created by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen. It features the voices of John DiMaggio, Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman. The show originally premiered in 1999 and quickly gained a faithful following and critical acclaim, including two primetime Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program. The story begins with Philip J. Fry (Billy West), a New York City pizza delivery boy, who accidentally freezes himself in 1999 and gets defrosted in the year 3000.
“In Season 12, on this orbit around the sun, our occasionally heroic crew embarks on mind-bending adventures involving birthday party games to the death, the secrets of Bender’s ancestral robot village, A.I. friends (and enemies), impossibly cute beanbags, and the true 5 million-year-old story behind the consciousness-altering substance known as coffee,” reads the synopsis (IGN). “And, of course, the next chapter in Fry and Leela’s fateful, time-twisted romance.”
