The Indian River County Sheriff's Office is warning about two attempted abductions that took place just days apart.

Authorities say both abduction attempts happened in the Pointe West area after dark and involved an unidentified masked man approaching women.

In both cases, the suspect tried to assault the women but fled when the would-be victims screamed for help and physically fought him off. The man was spotted wearing a hoodie and one of the victims describes him as being muscular.

Deputies are looking for the suspect and urge anyone with information to come forward.

Meanwhile, residents in the area are advised to take some safety measures such as locking your doors, bringing someone with you if you're going for a walk at night and report any suspicious activity you may witness.
