Robert Irwin's Precious Pug 'Stella' Wants Her Dad To Win a 'Logie' Award

Robert Irwin, son of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, continues to carry on his father's legacy and make his dad proud, this time by being nominated for two Logie Awards, which showcase the best shows and stars in Australian television, sponsored and organized by the magazine TV Week .

Irwin is up for the categories Most Popular Presenter and Gold Logie, and his adorable pug dog Stella encouraged people to vote for her human dad on her Instagram account that she shares with her fur sibling Piggy.

Stella, er, Stella's person who runs her social account, posted, "Big news, my boy is nominated for two Logies! So proud of him. You can vote at the link in my bio… he’s up for the Most Popular Presenter and Gold Logie awards.www.tvweeklogies.com.au"

People in the comments are applauding Irwin and one person posted, "That is big news, love both of these adorable creatures." Another added, "We’re Team Robert and hoping you get the Logie it’s well deserved!! We absolutely loved watching you on Celebrity. " Someone else responded, ""

The Gold Logie i s the most prestigious award and the industry's highest honor; it's awarded to the Most Popular Personality on Australian Television for the previous year. The award receives much publicity and media attention. Awards are presented in 20 categories, representing both industry and public voted prizes.

Irwin is one of the youngest people ever to be nominated for a Gold Logie award. According to Now To Love, when Terri Irwin, Robert's mother and the wife of Steve, learned of the honor , she had a very sweet reaction. Her son was quoted as saying, "When I told my mum, she adopted a very serious tone and said, ‘I can’t imagine how proud your dad would be,’” he says. “And I wasn’t ready for that. She was like, ‘Whoa, that’s really powerful, because not even Dad got that recognition.’”

The article goes on to say, "While Steve was posthumously inducted into the Logie Hall of Fame in 2007 following his tragic death while diving in Queensland in 2006, he was never nominated for the Gold Logie. That fact is not lost on Robert, who grew up idolizing his father and clearly does to this day."
