    Lafayette Parish providing sand bags for possible rain from Hurricane Beryl

    LAFAYETTE, La. ( KLFY ) – The Lafayette Consolidated Government is providing sandbags in preparation for possible rain bands from Hurricane Beryl.

    As rain bands associated with Hurricane Beryl spread over the region Monday and Tuesday, LCG will have sandbags available in Lafayette Parish. All locations are self-bagging and residents must bring their own shovels and manpower.

    Sandbag locations remain accessible 24 hours a day, but recommend usage within daylight hours between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

    Locations

    • North District site at 400 Dugas Road (located off North University Avenue)
    • Picard Park, 130 Park Lane

    Bags Per Household

    • Please limit sandbags to four bags per exterior door
    • Maximum of 20 sandbags per household permitted
