It's not often the label of a wine brand moves me so much that I fall in love with all elements, but that's what happened with RIDE from Ride & Ridden Wine Co . I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Wrubel —rodeo photographer based in Dallas, TX—who inspired the brand with his ephemeral photography style, capturing all elements of the rodeo. We connected at Ft. Worth's newest hotel Bowie House, Auberge Resorts Collection , where owner & art collector Jo Ellard proudly displays works of Wrubel.

I was blown away by the look, the feel, and the quality of their Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that clocked in at under $50. How often do you find a top quality Napa Cab for under $50? Almost never. Increasingly impossible to find. And with a jaw-droppingly awesome label? I had to take note. I was intrigued. Turns out they also have Sonoma County Cabernet and Paso Robles Cabernet—two of the most premier Cabernet locations in California outside of the Napa Valley—that come in under $40 and $30 per bottle, respectively. It's straight insanity!

So how could they possible raise the bar? Continue to push the boundaries of what is possible with respect to the QPR (Quality Price Ratio) of a wine that punches way above its weight class? Their next endeavor might be their finest...a California Cabernet with the power and elegance of the rest of the appellated-lineup, but comes in under $25 per bottle. In fact, its suggested retail price is $22.99. Unheard of. Good luck finding juice this good for this price. I double dog dare you.

Ride & Ridden Wine Co. is the product of a unique collaboration between industry veteran and founder David Green, and renowned Texas-based artist and photographer Steve Wrubel. Their partnership merges two passions—art and wine—to produce a wine that embodies pedigree without pretense. Through meticulous sourcing and world-class winemaking, Ride & Ridden offers a diverse portfolio of Cabernet wines that are both high-quality and approachable.

David Green's journey into wine began with a diverse career in hospitality, spanning from bussing tables in his teens to owning restaurants. Throughout, he found fulfillment in serving others and understanding the transformative power of hospitality. Recognizing the broad appeal yet exclusive nature of wine, especially Cabernet, David was inspired to create a wine brand that over delivered in its value. Through Ride & Ridden, David champions "pedigree without pretense," making fine wine accessible by finding a practical approach to creating wines of distinction and quality.
