    Five more people charged for shooting of a juvenile in Alexander County: Sheriff

    ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Five more people, including one juvenile, have been arrested in connection to a shooting of a juvenile in June, according to the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

    On June 6, officers responded to a shooting in the Stony Point community for a shooting.

    A juvenile male was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to an area medical center and is now in stable condition, the sheriff’s office said.

    Authorities previously said one juvenile was charged with attempted murder in connection to the shooting. On Monday, July 8, just past one month since the shooting, the sheriff’s office announced five more arrests.

    Chadrick McGee, 28, was charged with accessory after the fact and booked under a $250,000 secured bond.

    Tammy Shumake, 37, was booked under a $25,000 secured bond for the charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

    36-year-old Katasha Frazier and 18-year-old Tamarius Beasley were both booked under a $1,500 secured bond for the charges of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Officials say a second juvenile was charged with accessory after the fact.

    That’s a total of six people, two of whom are juveniles, who are charged in connection to a shooting that hurt a juvenile in Alexander County.
