NDGF wildlife contest opens for photo entries

NORTH DAKOTA ( KXNET ) — The North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s Watchable Wildlife Photo Contest is now open.

According to a news release, those interested in sending in photos need to follow the proper guidelines to submit photos.

There are categories for nongame and game species, along with plants and insects. An overall winning photo will be chosen. People can submit up to five photos, and they have to be taken in North Dakota.

People should visit the NDGF website, provide some relevant information about the photo, and then upload it. Doing this will help with the ease of submitting photos for the photographer and also manage the images for NDGF staff.

By submitting, photographers are permitting NDGF to publish the winning photos in “North Dakota OUTDOORS,” on the NDGF website, and on NDGF social media channels.

The deadline to enter photos is on October 1.
