Christened Sexy Me , the 92-footer is the first GTS version of the Otam 90 and is capable of soaring to impressive speeds. The yacht, which first hit the seas in May, exceeded the Italian yard’s expectations on sea trails by surpassing the estimated top speed of 42 knots to reach 45 knots all out.
Penned by Giuseppe Bagnardi of the BG Design Firm, the Otam 90 GTS has a sleek, sporty aesthetic akin to a race car. The helm console, for example, features a carbon-fiber structure that evokes the “halo” of an F1 racer. The air intakes on the front of the yacht and the snorkel on the hardtop also resemble the hood and roof scoops on a high-performance four-wheeler. In addition, the hull, meticulously designed by Umberto Tagliavini and Aldo Scorzoni of Marine Design & Services, showcases a racy silver hue and bronze accents.
Sexy Me performs a race car, too. The vessel is equipped with a pair of powerful 2,600 hp MTU engines, Arneson surface propellers, and stabilizers that together ensure thrilling speed, smooth navigation, responsive handling, and excellent seakeeping, according to Otam. The yard says seafarers can also expect “remarkable silence at all speeds,” thanks to high-quality sound insulation.
The cockpit.
As for the living quarters, Sexy Me features a custom layout with ample space for relaxing and entertaining. The lower deck is home to a full-beam owner’s suite, a VIP, a third guest cabin, and a plush lounge, while the main deck is centered around a convivial cockpit with an opening hardtop. The kitchen and crew quarters are both positioned away from the guest areas to ensure no party is interrupted.
The exterior decks are also geared toward relaxation. The aft area sports a large sunbathing space and a large bathing platform, while the foredeck is outfitted with a spacious dining area. You’ll also find a garage capable of storing a 14-foot tender. The size of the garage can be increased upon request. Owners can also opt for a full hardtop instead of a semi-open design.
“This Otam 90 GTS is a complete yacht, absolutely versatile, with an elegant and balanced design that refuses to age,” Otam’s sales and communication manager Matteo Belardinelli said in a statement. “Capable of satisfying very diverse requests, thanks to unmatched engineering at its core. We are extremely pleased with our new product, which is already generating truly interesting reactions even before its official presentation.”
The new flagship will make its international debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September.
