WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – Washington County Sheriff’s Office enhanced area patrols over the holiday weekend to ensure motorist safety, and several drug arrests were made as a result.

WCSO deputies heightened patrols to warn drivers to take it slow. This resulted in three felony drug arrests.

“Ridding our county of illegal drug activity will always be a priority and removing them from our roadways is critical. A person behind the wheel of a vehicle, who is in possession of or under the influence of an illegal substance is a severe threat to the safety of other motorists and themselves,” Washington County Sheriff Kevin Crews said.
