The NFL is a behemoth, and the New York Giants will be proud to be a part of it once their revenue check from the league clears.

According to Kurt Badenhausen and Lev Akabas of Sportico , the NFL generated just under $13 billion in national revenue for the 2023 season. That means the Giants, and the rest of the league, got cut a massive check of $404 million for the previous campaign.

The number that each team received from the league was an increase of $30 million from the 2022 season.

Sportico mentioned that they talked to four different teams about the revenue they generated in 2023. Those anonymous teams reported four different figures $402 million, $404 million, $418 million and $425 million.

For the sake of their article, they stuck with $404 million, which is roughly the estimate for each team.

They also noted that the national payout for each team is up 115% over the last decade, and they expect a similar rate of increase over the next decade. If that stays true, It would mean upwards of $800 million per team.

The NFL also made headlines this offseason after losing a lawsuit in regards to the "Sunday Ticket" package. While they are appealing the ruling, the damages could result in each team paying a share of $14.4 billion — or roughly $450 million per team.

The revenue share for each team should help ease the load if the league does have to make those payments, and it's just another reminder of what kind of Goliath the NFL is.
