A recently aired tirade from Sir Dave Brailsford has shed new light on his relentless revamp at Manchester United.

Brailsford has been spearheading an audit at the Red Devils following his appointment to the club's board by British billionaire, Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Ratcliffe has long regarded Brailsford as a crucial ally due to his work with British Cycling, Team Sky and most recently, Ineos Grenadiers.

Ratcliffe appointed him as director of sport at Ineos before making him his right-hand man at Old Trafford after acquiring a 29 percent stake in United. Prior to this role, Brailsford spent 13 years as team principal of Team Sky and its successor, the Grenadiers.

He was at the helm during last year's Tour de France, which is now the focus of Netflix series 'Tour de France: Unchained'. The series offers a glimpse into Brailsford's no-nonsense approach, following the teams throughout last year's championship.

One episode highlights the Stage 14 win for Ineos rider Carlos Rodriguez. During the stage, title contender Tadej Pogacar was hindered by motorbikes, which were themselves slowed by the dense crowd of spectators.

This allowed leader Jonas Vingegaard to launch an unexpected attack and secure eight bonus seconds, while Pogacar had to settle for five. Brailsford's reaction to the incident was captured in the episode.

Ineos team principal launched into an expletive-laden outburst while in the car with the team's director of racing Steve Cummings, decrying: "The motorbikes in the way stopped him. Mother*******. That's f****** b*******, isn't it? ".

Brailsford is clearly not one to bite his tongue, as evidenced by this fiery tirade, showing that he carries the spirit needed to reshape United's destiny. He's no stranger to triumph his resume boasts Tour de France victories with icons like Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome, and Geraint Thomas.

Since Brailsford joined United, there's been a significant shake-up off the pitch. High-profile exits include Chief Executive Richard Arnold, Chief Legal Counsel Patrick Steward, CFO Cliff Baty, Football Director John Murtough, and head of communications Ellie Norman.

Stepping into the breach are Jean-Claude Blanc as interim chief executive until Omar Berrada takes over on 13 July, Jason Wilcox stepping in as technical director, and Dan Ashworth taking up the reins as sporting director.

During this transformative phase for United, Brailsford has been side-by-side with Ratcliffe, even accompanying the billionaire during his inaugural trip to Carrington in February. Ratcliffe's not shy about spotlighting Brailsfords pivotal influence.

Discussing the new addition to the Manchester United leadership team, the speaker expressed great confidence, detailing: "Well, I think he will be critically involved in the future of Manchester United. He's interested in elite sport and performance, which is what Manchester United is and I think he's been very, very successful in sport in cycling.

"But he's generally viewed as one of the world 's best thoughtful people on the subject of sports performance. It's for good reason. I've known Dave now for quite a few years. He is obsessive about performance in elite sports, and he is going to be very successful at Manchester United."
