Rory McIlroy and wife Erica all smiles as they reunite with Ryder Cup teammates

Rory McIlroy, alongside his wife Erica, was seen enjoying an evening out with Ryder Cup stars in London this past Sunday, despite the whirlwind of headlines surrounding their recent divorce filings. The couple, who reversed course ahead of last month's US Open, cancelling their divorce plans, were all smiles during the dinner, with pictures of the evening posted online.

Post-US Open, where McIlroy suffered a gut-wrenching defeat to Bryson DeChambeau , he has been out of the spotlight but is now back in the UK preparing for the upcoming Open Championship.

The gathering saw McIlroy and Erica joined by fellow countryman Shane Lowry and his partner Wendy, teammates Tyrrell Hatton, Tommy Fleetwood, Nicolai Hojgaard, and captain Luke Donald, among other companions.

Addressing the halted divorce proceedings, McIlroy shared, "There have been rumours about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate. Responding to each rumour is a fool's game. Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realised that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning."

McIlroy hasn't participated in competitive golf since last month's US Open, where he experienced a devastating one-shot loss to Bryson DeChambeau after missing short putts on the 16th and 18th holes. He has stated his intention to defend his Scottish Open title this week before heading to Royal Troon in a bid to secure his first major victory in a decade, reports the Irish Mirror .
