It was the calm before the storm at Cineworld Leicester Square in London, where the European premiere of “Twisters” took place on July 8. Onlookers at the event were surely blown away as Daisy Edgar-Jones arrived in a floor-length structured gown and glossy black pumps.

Set to release on July 19, Edgar-Jones stars alongside Glen Powell and Anthony Ramos in the long-awaited sequel to the 1996 disaster film. In the follow-up, she plays Kate, a woman who’s had a traumatic encounter with a tornado but is convinced to test a new tracking system by her friend Javi (Ramos); they soon meet social media storm chaser Tyler (Powell) as multiple systems threaten Oklahoma.
For the London premiere, Edgar-Jones chose a chocolate brown dress that cinched at the waist and plunged into a flowing skirt with a lengthy train. The bodice and skirt featured folds and creases offering texture to the garment. The dramatic scoop neck was accented with a sheer black piece of fabric that draped over the actress’ shoulder and hung to the floor. The dress also featured a slit beginning at the top of her left thigh.
Matching the black in her dress, Edgar-Jones opted for a pair of shiny black stilettos to round out the outfit. With the elements of a classic pump, the shoes were enclosed around the back, front and sides; they also featured a lengthy narrow heel which gave her additional height and dramatized the arch of the silhouette. The patent leather material offered a gloss that allowed her shoes to stand out amidst an already eye-catching ensemble.
Edgar-Jones isn’t too daunted to put on a towering heel; she was recently seen at the Gucci cruise 2025 show in May wearing a pair of red leather horsebit loafers with a dramatic platform and block heel; Lila Moss and Debbie Harry also wore the shoes that day.

Prior to the London premiere, Edgar-Jones was in Miami promoting “Twisters,” where she wore a red Schiaparelli dress with a pair of off-white pumps featuring a keyhole-shaped cutout in front. Press tours for movies are often an opportunity for actors to showcase a wide range of luxury fashion, from Sydney Sweeney’s “Anyone But You” looks to Zendaya’s tennis-themed “Challengers” outfits , which were often paired with So Kate heels by Christian Louboutin.
