Spike: 'Time for people to admit they were wrong about Daryl Morey'

Spike Eskin says it's time to admit Daryl Morey

"It's time to admit here, what we have, and maybe apologize," Eskin said on Monday's 94WIP Afternoon Show. "I think it's time for people to admit they were wrong about Daryl Morey."

Eskin points out that Morey "rebuilt the entire team without having any down years." Eskin also said, "We have one of the best GM's in the history of the sports...He has turned a core of Ben Simmons, Al Horford, and Tobias Harris into Paul George, Tyrese Maxey, Caleb Martin, along with four first round picks. All because he was patient, he had a plan and he executed the plan."

Joel Embiid spoke to ESPN.com's Tim Bontemps and said Morey came to him with his plan last year. Embiid admits his patient wore thin at times, but Morey came through this offseason.

This offseason, Morey signed George to a four-year max contract, signed Andre Drummond, signed Eric Gordon, signed Caleb Martin, and re-signed Kelly Oubre and Tyrese Maxey.

Eskin says Morey should be considered at the same level as Howie Roseman, but the fans disagree vehemently.
