Maria Kanellis Says “Listen To Your Body” After Discovering Worrying Health Issue

Former WWE diva Maria Kanellis has been dealing with multiple health issues in recent years, which even saw her have to have half her thyroid removed. And while it was hoped she was going to have a continuous spell of good health, she has now revealed via X that a growth has been discovered following a CT scan her insurance company initially declined. What this means for her immediate future is currently unclear, but she would advise fans to “ listen to your body ” and later posted an update noting she will be seeing an endocrinologist surgeon.

Kanellis, along with her husband Mike Bennett, signed with AEW in October 2022 after their time with Impact Wrestling came to an end. It’s understood WWE was an option for them, but AEW’s schedule worked better for their family. Yet the couple has since been separated on screen, with Bennett remaining on AEW television as part of the Undisputed Kingdom while Kanellis is now working for sister promotion ROH as the manager of Cole Karter and Griff Garrison. However, with Karter having suffered a broken arm, her long-term future is unknown, although right now, her health is everyone’s priority.
