Babies and puppies are the perfect duo. Put them together, and it's almost too cute to bear. Just ask baby Easton and his new BFF, a Dachshund puppy named Sherman, who've only just met and already love each other.
In a July 5, 2024 TikTok video shared by Kirsten and Elijah McKinney ( @mckinneyadventures ), Easton and Sherman become fast friends. Their shared joy and Easton's laughter will totally make your day. Just wait until you see how cute these two are.
In the clip captioned, "This went on for 30 minutes straight. Favorite video in my camera roll right now," baby Easton meets, and is delighted by the excited antics of his new friend Sherman who's zooming around, rolling on the floor, and happily licking his way into Easton's heart. It feels as if they've known each other for years and the baby giggles alone make this a must-see for an instant mood boost.
The video has already garnered nearly 3 million likes and thousands of comments from people loving this new relationship.

Are Dachshunds Good with Children?
Obviously Easton and Sherman are the perfect pair but if you're considering adopting a Dachshund, there are a few things to know before you take the next step. My Family Vets says that, in general, the Dachshund breed are loyal companions and good watchdogs for any family. And, though their active, they're known to be good with children and ideal for smaller spaces due to their size.
Known as "burrowing animals," Dachshunds are a social breed and have tons of energy and unique, quirky personalities. Overall, this is a dog with a gentle demeanor who thrives on getting all the attention, pets, and snuggles, and adores spending time with their favorite people.
