BRAMWELL, WV (WVNS) – It is hard enough for humans to stay hydrated in the summer heat, but what about our furry friends?

The Mercer County Coalition for Healthy Communities placed dog hydration stations throughout Mercer County to give dogs of all sizes a nice drink on hot summer days.

One of the places that these stations is being placed is the Bramwell Corner Shop.

How much water – or Stanley cup refills – should you really be drinking each day?

Corner Shop Manager, Mandy Fink told 59News how these stations will help their location.

“We have spent several summers for years bringing little water bowls out to pups. Our influx of traffic for ATVs is huge. A lot of them ride [ATVs] with their dogs, they’re like part of the family. So having this year has been a blessing.”

Some other Mercer County locations that you can find these dog hydration stations include Community Connections, Inc., Visit Mercer County, WV, Mercer Street Grassroots District, Glenwood Recreational Park, and at Bowen Field.
