In unexpected news, NXT wrestler Bobby Steveson, who competed under the ring name Damon Kemp and was part of the No Quarter Catch Crew has announced on X that he is no longer with WWE. Based on his tweet, it wasn’t clear whether he was let or asked for his release, although Fightful Select has since reported WWE decided not to renew his contract.

Having signed with WWE in August 2021 as part of a new class of Performance Center recruits, Kemp would make his television debut a few months later against Andre Chase on 205 Live. And while he likely needed more ring time before he would be ready for main roster call-up, given his age and amateur wrestling background, it appeared he would be given every opportunity to succeed. Although, with his younger brother Gable Steveson having been let go by the company back in May, perhaps Kemp’s departure was always inevitable.
