Love Island USA lovebirds Kordell and Serena have seemed to make up on Monday’s episode of the reality dating competition.
During today’s show, Kordell and Serena had a much-needed conversation following Serena’s dramatic move yesterday, which involved her flipping the breakfast he made for her on him. Serena’s anger on Sunday stemmed from Kordell cooking breakfast for her and Daia - another woman that he matched with while he was away at Casa Amor with her. Serena’s reaction to Kordell showing concern for both her and Daia was sort of shocking. Given that she and Kordell weren’t an exclusive couple, and that they had each talked with different people at one point since Serena wanted to take it slow.
While having their heart-to-heart, Serena made it clear that just because she preferred not to rush into an official relationship with Kordell, didn’t mean her feelings for him didn’t run deep.

“No matter how slow I moved, you knew how I felt about you…and I thought you felt the same way,” she told Kordell as they talked about the situation with Daia. Serena’s vulnerability sparked Kordell’s, enabling him to unveil his strong affection for her.
“I do got these strong feelings toward Serena. It’s not going to change,” Kordell said in the confessional that producers cut to amid his conversation with Serena. “We’ve built everything from day one. From day one I’ve always seen her. I seen something in her that made me like her so much.”
He revealed in the confessional that he “really hoped he could fix things” with Serena. When producers cut back to their discussion, Kordell acknowledged Serena’s feelings, admitting that he understood that she cared for him.
“I see how much you care and I see how much I f- - -ked up,” he said. “There was not a time that I did not think of you.”
Kordell continued: “Just because I still wanted to pursue with her doesn’t mean I have to. I’m trying to let you know…I want you,” disclosing to Serena that he wanted her “from day one.”
On X, formerly Twitter, Love Island USA fans championed the pair rekindling their romance, and admitted they loved watching their rollercoaster relationship.
“Serena and Kordell are the most dramatic thing to happen to Love Island and I’m eating it up,” one person wrote on X.
Another added, “He’s locked in now….she had to go off on him to show how much she likes him,” referencing yesterday’s incident.
Kordell choosing Serena turns out to be the way to go in the eyesight of many fans now that show producers have uncovered that his other love interest Daia wanted his brother. Kordell’s brother happens to be NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. Apparently, Daia was just trying to get close to Kordell to possibly get closer to Odell, which producers broadcasted on this episode. Many who were happy that Daia’s seeming tactic was exposed noted that Love Island USA production was “messy” for how they exposed it.
“The producers are messy af, they made sure to use that tweet because remember in the beginning Kordell was talking about how people use him to get to his brother. Oh Daia you’re out of here!!! #loveIsland,” one wrote on X.
