LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The remnants of what was once Hurricane Beryl are marching towards Mid-Michigan, and could lead to life-threatening flooding tonight/tomorrow.

Tropical moisture associated with this system will bring rain and storms to our region starting this afternoon. The heaviest rain will arrive tonight and continue through the entire day Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has placed most of Mid-Michigan under a Flood Watch from 11:00 PM Tuesday to 8:00 PM Wednesday.

Most of our area will see 2-4″ of rain by Wednesday night, but locally higher totals are possible, with 4-6″+ possible in more localized spots.

Be prepared to take action if flooding occurs in your area, and remember to “turn around, don’t drown” if you encounter flooding on roadways.
