‘It’s Jill Biden’s Ego!’ Steve Doocy Insists First Lady is Refusing to Let Biden Bow Out

The hosts of Fox & Friends tore into First Lady Jill Biden on Tuesday amid concerns about her husband’s health. Steve Doocy even theorized that the 81-year-old president was still in the race because of his wife’s “ego.”

Doocy, Lawrence Jones, and Ainsley Earhardt discussed debate swirling around President Joe Biden ever since his CNN debate against Donald Trump, as well as his wife’s campaigning on his behalf which recently included visiting three states in one day where she assured voters she and her husband are “all in” on the election amid calls for the president to be replaced on the ticket.

The hosts also reacted to Kevin McCarthy telling Fox News previously that the first lady was present for many of his meetings with the president at the White House and he claimed she was there to give “comfort” to her husband and “direct the meetings.”

    Doocy said in reaction:

They are fighting for their lives but rather than him being out, because he can’t, she is out. That’s why she is barn storming. That’s why she was in three states yesterday. Because they had made it clear they are not going to leave the White House without a fight. And Joe has warned people close to him, according to Axios, he is staying in but that is not a sure thing because he knows if the Democratic leaders, or the elites as he referred to them yesterday, if they say Joe, we can’t raise money anymore, Hollywood says you have got to go, the pundits say you have got to go, all these Democrats in unsafe for Democrat congressional districts say you got go, he’s got to go, but Donald Trump hit the nail on the head. It’s about ego. It’s not about Joe Biden’s ego. It’s Jill Biden’s ego.

“There has never been a time where the first lady is directing things within inside of the Oval Office. It’s just sad,” Jones said.

Jones then found himself in partial agreement with liberals like Michael Moore, who have described the president’s reelection as “elder abuse.”

“At what point does it become elder abuse?” Jones asked, adding it’s “clear” Biden is not “aware” of some things.

Earhardt pointed to a recent moment from Jill Biden where she scolded reporters asking her about her husband for “screaming” at her on the street.

“Why are you screaming at me? You know me. Don’t scream at me, just let me talk,” Biden told the reporters. Earhardt noted, however, that she didn’t actually answer the questions about pressure for her husband to drop from the race.

“It seemed like she is so tired of everyone asking her and putting pressure on her that in that moment she turned to them and she just snapped in a way,” she said.

The president insisted in a letter to Democratic lawmakers and in a Morning Joe interview on Monday that he is remaining in the race despite concerns from some in his own party. Biden said he is the best option to beat Trump and lashed out at “elites” in his party criticizing him, inviting them to challenge him at the convention for the nomination.
