We're simple folks, when a new Semenuk edit releases, we drop everything, and give it a watch. This one is no different. While this edit feels like the spiritual successor to Parallel , it features a decidedly more lush backdrop than the scrub oak of the original.

Here's what the creators have to say about this project:

"Join Brandon Semenuk and special guest, Ryan “R-Dog” Howard, for their latest creation, “SEVER.” A nice warm hand to the face reminder that buying the Trek Slash , the most capable long travel bike on the market, won’t give you the skills or style of the boys; but it will help you smash through just about anything on your local trails.

Name a more stylish combination of riders.

Semenuk and R-Dog take you deep in the steeps, through the redwoods, in perfect conditions as they wind through the flowing corners and big hits on their Trek Slash bikes, putting all 170mm of travel to work. A subtle reminder that “no, you don’t need that downhill bike,” you’ve been eyeing up, the Slash will handle everything you throw at it, including the kitchen sink.

The riding in SEVER is simply unPARALLEled. It’s sure to make you want to grab your bike and hit the trails with your friends.

Special thanks to the world-class build team, including Spencer Baldwin, Scotty Scamehorn, and Evan Young, and the outstanding production team, featuring Isaac Wallen, Nic Genovese, and Ian Collins."

Hero dirt, big bikes, and a stacked crew.

This project also brings to mind this excellent piece from Mike Ferrentino about the original 'Parallel" edit. It's hard to fathom the amount of time and effort that goes into a video part like this, and the process is as fascinating as the final result.
