Tyler Childers is that guy. Timmy Tyler is in the thick of his Mule Pull Tour, taking his stunning stage set, killer band, and angelic vocals worldwide, sharing his music with fans who love him. Childers is one of those concerts that is an actual out-of-body experience. Childers' shows have always been spot on, but I must admit that since he chose to become sober, his shows have turned into a whole visual experience. Granted, that also helps with the fame and the more than likely increased tour budget. However, keeping himself at the focal point of the fans' view while having an elaborate backdrop and visuals makes for a sensational concert experience. While the music is always the highlight of the show, recently, Childers has been taking some time between songs to talk about his music and thanking those who choose to spend their hard-earned money coming to see him. During this transition, Childers has been pulling out a cheeky bit, talking about how those at his show could have NOTHING in common other than the fact they like Tyler Childers, but you could make lifelong friends with those around your seat.
"To your left, to your right, in front of you, and behind you, there is at least one person you don't know, and you have absolutely no idea who they are. And you might possibly have nothing in this world in common with them. Except you both were a little bit interested enough in what was happening today that you came here to watch it. That's something, that's a start. That's what they call an icebreaker. And it could be the start of something like absolutely beautiful." Childers then details a fictional relationship made at one of his shows. Who knows, they could be the love of your life, and you have one heck of a story to tell your kids one day. Or you could make a lifelong pen pal that you write to over the years and meet up here and there for more Tyler Childers concerts.
"It's just absolutely beautiful. And you're like, 'Man, what a lovely time we've had here. Remember that time we met at that Tyler Childers show?' That'd be super cool, wouldn't it." https://www.instagram.com/p/C9NIR0Su_Ra/ Childers then details, on the contrary, those who come to his concerts and are not as polite and friendly to those around them and might not have a great experience at them. "There's going to be at least two people who walk away from this, and they're like, 'You know what? I had an absolutely terrible time at that Tyler Childers show.' It's going to happen. I'm telling you, I did the numbers." Timmy T then says those people who will go home with that mentality from his shows are more than likely overserved in the audience, being that annoying concertgoer, on their phone the whole time, and not being present at the moment. Childers then steps off stage, grabbing a prop to impersonate these fans hilariously. He returns to the microphone with a giant rubber chicken and squeezes it to begin letting out a whining sound.
"Woooooooooo play 'Oneida!' 'Whitehouse Road!'" Childers then reminds people not to be that fan because you might be standing next to someone you become good friends with, and you don't want to be the annoying fan they hope never to see again. To wrap up the comedic bit, Childers became more serious in the final moments, thanking fans from the bottom of his heart for taking time out of their busy schedule to spend an evening with him.

While his annoying (more than likely drunk) fan impersonation is hilarious, it's also a good reminder to folks about concert etiquette. While everyone loves to capture a moment on film of the show, don't be that annoying fan constantly holding up your phone to video or being rude to those around you. Unplug, be present, and enjoy the talent on the stage in front of you. While you're here, watch some of the magic from this show at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, Maine.
