ODNR now hiring Natural Resources Officers who love the outdoors

OHIO (WJW) – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is looking for people who love the outdoors and are seeking an “action-packed” career.

The ODNR is now hiring Natural Resources Officer cadets , who will be trained to “protect and patrol” the Ohio state parks, forests, natural preserves and waterways.

“ Natural Resources Officers are crucial to ensuring our guests have memorable and safe experiences,” ODNR Director Mary Mertz said. “Their dedication to service and safety is vital to our mission. We look forward to welcoming new, outstanding individuals to our team.”

According to the ODNR , the ideal candidate for the Natural Resources Officer position is a person who is active, loves the outdoors and wants to spend their carrer immersed in nature.

“As a Natural Resources Officer, you’ll patrol Ohio’s diverse landscapes, engaging in law enforcement, public service, education, and public relations,” a press release from ODNR said.

The ODNR is accepting applications now through August 4.
