Dogs and their stuffies are the cutest thing ever. For a Golden Retriever named Maverick, receiving a new stuffie is so happy-making, he can't contain the noises he's making!

In an adorable TikTok video shared by @maverickthegolden , the excited pup cannot hold back his glee after receiving his Mom's special gift. Watch below with the sound way up to hear the best snorts!

The video opens with sweet Maverick sitting on his mom's bed while she tells him what a good boy he is. She's not wrong. He's a very good boy. After returning from a trip, she came home with a surprise gift for Maverick—a seagull stuffie. The best part? The bird is eating a cuddly "french fry." The golden gently takes the offering and lays with it, nuzzling, nibbling, and loving his new best friend.

Of the more than 707,000 likes and 40,000 shares, many viewers shared in Maverick's joy, with some noting those little happy noises, like huffs and snorts, coming from the pup.

"His little snorts and sounds will forever make me melt," one person wrote (and we agree). "He just has the sweetest face. His little eyes are precious," another added. "Oh my goodness the little growls and breathing hard, my heartttttttt," another said.

If a stuffie makes Maverick this happy, we petition for him to get a new one every week!

    What Makes a Good Stuffie?

Every dog has different tastes, but once you find a stuffie they're obsessed with, you'll do anything to make sure they always have it (or something similar). According to Dogster , pups like stuffed animals for a few reasons. Because they can be chewed on then cuddled, dogs love the comfort they get from the versatility. If the materials feel good on their gums to chew on, even better.

Some dogs also need to channel their innate need to hunt, which is why they may carry the stuffie around in their mouth or make noises or grunts while chewing on one. And, while stuffed animals make great companions (and something for your dog to claim as their own), the most important aspect of having one is that it helps your dog feel less alone. Be it from separation anxiety or stress, "emotional support" stuffies provide the relief they need to calm their fears.

As for Maverick, he lucked out with his new seagull stuffie, and we're sure he's going to take good care of it!
