    Wang Chung, Flock of Seagulls and other ’80s pop acts to perform at Kansas Star Casino

    Four bands from the 1980s will be coming to Kansas for a concert later this year.

    Wang Chung, A Flock of Seagulls, The Escape Club and Naked Eyes will perform Sept. 6 at Kansas Star Arena, next to the Kansas Star Casino near Mulvane , according to a news release.

    Wang Chung, made up of Nick Feldman and Jack Hues, is best known for their 1989 hit, “Everybody Have Fun Tonight.” Other songs include “Dance Hall Days” “Let’s Go” and “To Live and Die in L.A.”

    A Flock of Seagulls’ members are Mike Score, his brother Ali, Frank Maudsley and Paul Reynolds. The band’s hit singles include “I Ran (So Far Away),” “The More You Live, the More You Love” and “Space Age Love Song.”

    The Escape Club is known for their song, “Wild Wild West.” They also landed in the top 10 in 1991 with “I’ll Be There,” according to the release.

    Naked Eyes produced a cover of Burt Bacharach and Hal David’s, “Always Something There to Remind Me.”

    Tickets for the “Pop Goes The 80s” concert start at $40 and go on sale at 10 a.m. July 12 at Kansas Star Casino’s website , through Ticketmaster, or by visiting the Boyd Rewards club. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show kicking off at 7 p.m.
