Royal insiders shared the adorable nicknames used within the Royal Family , showing the more intimate side of the British monarchy.

Meghan Markle previously said she calls Prince Harry "Haz". The late Queen Elizabeth II was fondly known as Lilibet by her family. And a young Prince William even cutely mispronounced "grandma" as "Gary".

The current generation of younger Royals, including Prince George , Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, refer to their late grandmother as "Granny Diana" and have dubbed King Charles "Grandpa Wales", reports the Daily Record .

This sweet tradition mirrors how the Queen called her grandfather George V "Grandad England". Queen Camilla has earned the quirky nickname "Gaga" from her grandchildren and the young royals, such as Archie and Lili.

During the 2016 Royal Variety Performance, as The Sun revealed, Camilla shared a moment with Lady Gaga, telling her about the nickname coincidence. After Prince George 's arrival, the Duchess confided to the Daily Mail: "My own grandchildren call me GaGa. I don't know if it's because they think I am! It is funny but is still very sweet."

And Prince George had his own special name for his great-grandmother, the late Queen, calling her "Gan-Gan".

Reflecting on Princess Charlotte's arrival back in 2016, Kate Middleton said: "It's very special having a new little girl...I feel very, very lucky that George has got a little sister."

"The Queen was really thrilled that it was a little girl, and I think as soon as we came back here to Kensington she was one of our first visitors here.

"George is only two-and-a-half and he calls her 'Gan-Gan.' She always leaves a little gift or something in their room when we go and stay and that just shows her love for her family."
