In the episode, which was uploaded on July 9, Gypsy began by saying: "I know the rumours have been flying around for quite some time now. "She added: "...and I'm happy to announce, I'm 11 weeks pregnant.
"Gypsy went on to say: "Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January of 2025. "This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected, but we're both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood."
Responding to the comments, Gypsy said: "I know that there are going to be people who feel like I'm not ready to be a mother and I don't know if anyone's really ready to be a mother. "
Clearly emotional, Gypsy then continued: "All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby.
She further expressed: "I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn't."
Gypsy's mum Dee Dee was a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy (currently referred to as a factitious disorder, which is imposed on another). Deceptive about her daughter's health state, she subjected Gypsy to countless medical interventions under the false claim that she was critically ill, whereas, in fact, she was altogether healthy.
On June 10, 2015, Dee was brutally murdered by Gypsy's boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn.
Upon their arrest, both Godejohn and Gypsy confessed to the crime. With Godejohn being the actual perpetrator of the murder, he was condemned to life imprisonment with a chance of parole after his indictment with first-degree murder.
Having played a part in orchestrating her mother's death, Gypsy was held culpable for second-degree murder. She received a 10-year prison sentence and was set free last year after having served seven years of it.
Gypsy and Ken corresponded through letters during her time in prison and got engaged in 2018, but they broke up before she was released.
Upon her release, Gypsy had been married to her ex Ryan Anderson, but they soon parted ways.
