Dogs truly have next-to-no concept of personal space. If you have something that you want to be just yours, you will have to hide it. Otherwise, they will find a way to get their paws on it, even if it's something they do not need.

One Pekingese took this fact to the extreme recently, claiming his mom's laptop as his new favorite place to lie down. He triggers a whole bunch of weird noises, and they don't bother him. He's just hilarious:

George the Pekingese has no idea how to use a laptop, but that's not what matters. He wants a nap!

Pekingese can get a bad rap - everyone thinks they're ugly, for some reason. They typically have an underbite, and their fluff may not be as majestic as some other dogs, but they're cute, too! More than that, though, they have incredible personalities: they're sweet, sassy, and always willing to have fun.

Why George decided he had to sit on his mom's laptop is unclear. He might not have registered what it was until he was lying on it and it made noise. There's also the possibility that it was warm; laptops heat up when you've been using them for a while. Dogs love to be warm! Whatever the case may be, neither George nor his mom's laptop were harmed in the making of this video. Maybe they're best friends!

Pekingese Were Bred to be Royal

The Pekingese may be a breed that people sometimes consider "undesirable" now, but they were not always that way. In fact, this is one of the oldest dog breeds around! Experts state that the breed started thousands of years ago, and these dogs were meant for members of the Imperial Court in China.

They're small enough to be lapdogs, and their coat can be groomed and styled extravagantly. They were bred to be friendly and relatively easygoing; upsetting the higher-ups is never a good idea, even for a pet! Because of that, though, they were never really meant to do anything. They're not guard or farm dogs, they don't chase animals... they just love to be with humans!

The Pekingese didn't start making its way to the West until the mid 1800s , where they became a decently popular show and family dog, even if they're not what the West often considers to be the "prettiest" dog breed. They've always been a frontrunner in China! They're sweet, generally pretty good with kids, and don't need too much exercise. If you need to use your laptop, though... I wouldn't hold your breath.
