'I'm a fashion expert - these are the eight pieces you should buy before Prime Day'

With Amazon Prime Day just around the corner (July 16-17), fashion writer and regular Amazon browser Bethan Shufflebotham has selected a few items that shoppers should keep an eye out for.

Among her top recommendations for the Mirror are a pair of jeans approved by celebs and sunglasses that could pass for designer.

While some items are already discounted, others remain at full price, but you can always add them to your basket now and be alerted to any price changes as Prime Day draws near.

Amazon's Prime Day sale is set to kick off on July 16, promising a bonanza of discounts across a wide range of products for a full 48 hours, ending at 11:59pm on July 17.

This event, rivalling the likes of Black Friday, is exclusive to Amazon Prime members. Here's what Bethan's got her eyes on ahead of the big day.

Amazon Prime Day fashion bargains

Molly-Mae's jeans

Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague is known for her chic style, often showcasing a blend of high-end brands and fast fashion staples on her Instagram. Earlier this year, she surprised fans by revealing that her stylish leopard print jeans weren't from a high street store or luxury boutique but were an Amazon find.

However, some customers found the sizing 'way off', with one stating: "The materials and construction of this vest are great! It's a well-made garment. The buttons are functional so you can wear it open or closed. The linen blend material is light and great for warmer weather. However, the fit was way off for me which was a massive disappointment."
