This new section will feature a pedestrian hybrid beacon, referred to as a HAWK beacon, allowing trail users to stop traffic along Lakeside Avenue and safely cross the trail.

The next phase of the project, which includes connecting the Spring Park section to Dumbarton Road and then Lakeside, is scheduled to begin by the end of the year. The entire Henrico portion of the trail will stretch from Joseph Bryan Park to the Chickahominy River.

The Fall Line Trail will connect seven localities from Ashland to Petersburg once it’s completed.
