Unhinged Parakeet Gets Her Very Own Beach Cabinet and Hilarity Ensues

It's always the best to see pet owners really lean into the interests of their cats or dogs, whether that be buying them multiples of a toy they love or taking their dog to his favorite dog park multiple times a day, or in the case of these bird owners, making their bird different themed sanctuaries in the 'forbidden cupboard.'

Okay, what's the forbidden cupboard ? It's a kitchen cupboard that the bird named Prince was never allowed into until her owners just gave up and started making fun themes for Prince to go nuts in. The current theme? Beach. Watch this, it's too funny.

The video was uploaded to the TikTok account @ Tamiaoveres and watching Prince go absolutely bonkers over her new cupboard theme is something else.

One person commented, "She is so enriched with her forbidden cupboard and it's transformations. we love a happy feral queen." Another added, "I can never get over how when you scream she screams." She really does!

Someone else said, "Me knowing if Prince was the actual Lifeguard on duty, we'd all die. She'd probably sit there and feral growl or sass sing." Haha! She absolutely would! But she does look pretty happy in that lifeguard chair!

Prince's parents have put cans in her forbidden cupboard, and other sensory items like bells, and one time they even transformed the forbidden cupboard into a fairy garden. Her little happy sassy song is so cute!

It makes sense why Prince finds these little habitats so fascinating, because Parakeets are big fans of having places to hide , and hiding spots can make them feel more secure and reduce stress. Parakeets may use hiding spots to rest and sleep, away from any disturbances. That's because when these sweet birds are in the wild parakeets naturally seek out sheltered spots to hide from predators and cold or rainy weather. Providing hiding opportunities in captivity allows parakeets to express this natural behavior. They like to be able to explore too.

Prince is obviously a super curious and playful bird too, so having new scenes to explore in her beloved forbidden cupboard is obviously a special treat for her. I really hope her parents decide to decorate for Halloween and Christmas, I can totally see Prince walking in a winter wonderland.
