The USDA refers to the program as Provision 2 , which allows eligible schools to serve no-cost meals for up to four consecutive years while lowering their record-keeping requirement.

Under Provision 2, officials said the school is not required to gather free and reduced lunch applications after its first year in the program but is instead reimbursed based on claimed percentages.
