    Person hit, killed by vehicle in Dillon County, highway patrol says

    DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A person died days after they were hit by a vehicle in Dillon County, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

    It happened at about 4:30 p.m. on Friday, the highway patrol said. It happened in the 1200 block of Rabbit Island Road, which is about 3 miles south of Lake View.

    The person was hit by a 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier driving north on private property, according to the highway patrol. They were taken by EMS to an area hospital where they died.
