Angela Simmons went the sexy, bougie route for her latest collaboration’s first commercial. The Angela’s Cakes owner posed in a bathtub filled with Oreos, with a plate of fried versions of the cookie nearby. Here’s the milk on why Simmons appeared in a clip: Angela’s Cake and Slutty Vegan are partnering on vegan fried Oreos.

But it’s the promo clip itself that has social media buzzing with reactions. In it, Angela also ate the fried goodies on a skewer stick and a fancy tea set.

Her steamy advertisement comes less than a week after going viral for a controversial fashion accessory. On June 30, the entrepreneur walked the BET Awards carpet in a green gown, accessorized by a bejeweled green firearm-shaped purse. Photos showed her posing in several “shooting” motions while on the carpet and at the show.

That same night, she issued a video apology, saying she thought the purse was a fashion moment. However, the following day, she put out a lengthy written statement expressing sorrow for the choice.

Additionally, Angela Simmons affirmed her philanthropic work against gun violence, given its proximity to her personal life. Her son’s father passed away due to a gun-related injury.

Social Media Is Cutting Up Over Angela Simmons’ Marketing Tactic

After getting dragged over a purse, Angela now has the innanet talking about her marketing creativity, chile! Some of the feedback is here for her strategies, but a few are a little not-so-nice over the route taken!

While folks online are kiki-ing over the ad, Angela and Slutty Vegan will begin to test their fried Oreos this Friday at the restaurants’ physical locations.

According to a press release cited by The Source , Angela Simmons shared that working with SV’s owner, Pinky Cole, has been a yummy time!

“With me being a major vegan foodie with a sweet tooth, I’m always looking to satisfy my cravings, especially when I’m traveling,” Angela Simmons said. “Working with Pinky and Slutty Vegan has been amazing because she shares that same vision of bringing the tastiest vegan options to the masses.”
