‘Overwatch 2’ Links Up With ‘Transformers’ For FREE Character Skins

Overwatch 2 and Transformers is the collaboration we didn’t know we needed.

Sometimes, a collaboration makes all the sense in the world and will leave you asking, what took them so long to make this happen? This collab between Blizzard Entertainment’s popular hero shooter video game, Overwatch 2 , and the iconic cartoon franchise Transformers is one of those cases.

Today, as in RIGHT NOW, Overwatch 2 players can enjoy new skins based on iconic Transformers Autobots and Decepticons for their favorite heroes.

The characters that mimic Autobot or Decepticon armor are:

• Optimus Prime Reinhardt
• Bumblebee Bastion
• Arcee Illari
• Megatron Rammatra

Blizzard Studio’s Bobby Kim worked on the concept art for the skins and is an admitted lifelong fan of the Transformers franchise. He admits he didn’t own any of the toys as a child and says, “Being part of this collaboration feels like the coolest gift I could give my childhood self.”

“Overall, this collaboration was a fantastic experience. Bringing Optimus Prime and other TRANSFORMERS characters, including Megatron, Bumblebee, and Arcee, to the world of Overwatch has been a dream come true.” Kim added.

The Transformers collaboration is just one of the latest additions to the game. Most recently, players enjoyed collaborations with the popular anime Cowboy Bebop and Porsche.

So don’t expect this to be the last, but as of right now, it is most definitely the best one yet.
