Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor has revealed the length of his new WWE contract, and it will keep him in the company close to his 50th birthday.

For the last decade, Finn Balor has been one of the most reliable talents in WWE. From the moment he made his debut in NXT in 2014, he has remained one of the best wrestlers in the company, and his turn to the dark side in 2022 as a part of Judgement Day has revitalized his career in unexpected ways.

Late last year reports circulated that the man who helped found the Bullet Club in NJPW was nearing the expiration of his current WWE contract. However, the Irishman seemed to put any fears of leaving his longtime home to bed when he claimed in an X post that “I ain’t going nowhere!”

Little has been reported about his contract since, but this week the man himself actually spilled some details during an appearance on the “ What’s the Story Podcast .”

Finn Balor has signed a new five-year deal with WWE

“Yeah, another extension for five years,” Balor said. “I’m super excited. I remember when I was 20 and I was like, ‘If I make it to 30 I’ll be doing well.’ Then, you’re in your 40s and I’m like, ‘Shit, do they want me to keep doing this? Am I able to keep doing it? How is the body going to feel?’ We sat down, had a couple of conversations, and the feelings were mutual.

“I wanted to stay, they wanted me to stay. We hashed it out and I couldn’t be happier. It was a weird time. It was six months to when my contract was coming up. ‘S***, is this the end of my run? Is it time to move on?’ Ten years is incredible.”

Balor will turn 43 years old later this month, which means when his new contract comes to an end he will not be far off from his 50th birthday. It likely means that the two-time tag champion will end his career with this latest deal.
