“People just need to come and if they have wheelchairs or mobility issues … it just allows them the same experience that everyone else gets with like I said … less crowd,” says Lecia Menshouse, executive assistant for Lawrence County Developmental Disabilities.

“I’m great! I’m glad I’m here at the Lawrence County Fair!” says J.T. Jones, a Lawrence County resident who visited during sensory-friendly hours.

The sensory-friendly time was a one-day event, but Menshouse says that there are still activities for all available regularly, like the petting zoo, food vendors, and the animal shows.

The fair will continue into the weekend with more fun for the whole family.
