    UPDATE: 911 services reportedly restored in South Dakota

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — UPDATE (9:39 p.m.): 911 services have been restored, according to Union County Emergency Management and Yankton County Emergency Management .


    PREVIOUS: Officials in South Dakota are reporting a 911 outage throughout the state.

    According to the Clay County, SD sheriff’s office , South Dakota is experiencing statewide issues with 911 service. Officials in Lincoln County , Union County , and Yankton have also reported an outage.

    Local police and emergency services can still be reached through their non-emergency lines. Below is a list of non-emergency lines to call in Siouxland in case of an emergency during this outage:

    • Union County Sheriff’s Office: 605-356-2679
    • Yankton County Sheriff’s Office: 605-668-5210
    • Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 605-764-5651
    • Clay County Sheriff’s Office: 605-677-7100

    Texting 911 will still work as well.
