Three things to know

County gets funding for infrastructure projects. The Ohio Public Works Commission has released project agreements for the most recent annual round of infrastructure funding, including six projects in Perry County that are being funded by grants and loans of nearly $2.5 million. Health department goes to the fair. The county fair begins July 15. The county health department will be there in an air-conditioned building, and they invite you to stop by and talk with their staff about anything from how to stop smoking to how to prevent mosquitoes on your property. RAF 1, Luftwaffe 0. On this day 84 years ago, the World War II Battle of Britain began as the German Luftwaffe launched aerial attacks on southern England. The Royal Air Force was ultimately victorious. And 22 years later, NASA launched the Telstar 1 communications satellite. See Today in History, page A3.
