Daniel Herman is a nutritionist and the founder of UK-based sports supplements brand Bio-Synergy.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, he revealed the secret to rejuvenating the skin around the eyes.

    BANISH BAGS

From aging, fatigue, and smoking to genetics, various factors may cause the skin under the eyes to sag.

Herman shared his must-try home remedies for getting rid of eye bags.

“Apply cold compresses or chilled cucumber slices to reduce swelling and constrict blood vessels,” he said.

“Sleep with your head elevated to prevent fluid accumulation under the eyes.”

He revealed puffiness can be caused by dehydration therefore it’s important to stay hydrated.

“Maintain a regular sleep schedule to minimize under-eye bags caused by fatigue,” he added.

    DIMINISH DARK CIRCLES

The causes of dark circles under the eyes are similar to those that trigger bags, including a lack of sleep, dehydration, and smoking.

However, they can also appear due to allergies, hyperpigmentation, and nutritional deficiencies.

Herman said the ingredients in many over-the-counter products can target the area under the eyes.

“Use products with vitamin C to brighten the skin and reduce pigmentation,” he said.

Look for eye creams with peptides to strengthen the delicate skin around the eyes.

“Apply retinoid creams to increase collagen production and improve skin thickness, which can help mask dark circles.

Herman added that overall skin health needs to be nurtured by eating a balanced diet, prioritizing sleep, and minimizing stress.

    FIX YOUR FACE

The tips come after he spoke to The U.S. Sun about how to regain skin’s youthful plumpness without cosmetic injections.

He recommended hydrating the skin with hyaluronic acid and regularly consuming “good quality” collagen supplements.

He added that facial yoga or exercises that target facial muscles can improve circulation.

“Establish and maintain a consistent skincare routine tailored to your skin type and concern,” he said.
