CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Wednesday morning is off to a warm and humid start, heading into the afternoon hours for some Lowcountry residents another heat advisory will be underway.

Storm Team 2 forecasts temperatures in the low to mid-90s with partly sunny skies and a risk of scattered showers and thunderstorms.

A heat advisory is issued for Williamsburg, Georgetown, Berkeley and Charleston counties, Meteorologist Josh Marther reports.

“The good news is dew points, the amount of moister in the area will start to drop later today but before it does we’re going to go in the low to mid-90s and it’s going to feel quite hot, with heat index values between 105 and 110 again,” said Meteorologist Marthers.

Marthers adds there is a decent risk of thunderstorms and showers throughout the afternoon.
