BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) Brooke County officially has a new EMA/EMS Director

Greg Moore has been the Interim Director since early 2024 and was given the official title at this week’s commission meeting.

Director Moore is adding a lot of experience to his new role with more than 40 years in EMS services.

Commissioners say Moore is perfect for this position and he’s ready to take EMS to the next level in Brooke County.

The County has new rigs and is soon to have a new home at the Centralized Ambulance Station in Wellsburg.

“We’re here as a service to the county. We want to take care of everyone to the best of our ability. We’re going forward with new trucks. We want to keep the equipment top notch, it’s what we are going to do.”

“Greg is by far in a way, one of the most impressive candidates we have ever had apply to work for Brooke County EMS, especially in the Director position. He’s a wonderful person, a flight paramedic, a National Registry Paramedic, a West Virginia and Ohio certified EMT/Paramedic. He’s exactly what we are looking for.”

Director Moore says he is very thankful to the EMS Board and the Commissioners for this opportunity.
