JUDSONIA, Ark. – Deputies in White County, Arkansas are investigating after a teen was shot to death and his body was struck by a car.

Deputies said that the man, later identified as 17-year-old Brendon Berryhill, had apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body. Berryhill was later transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

WCSO detectives said that evidence gathered at the scene showed that the shooting initially happened at the Circle K convenience store at 9645 Highway 13. After reviewing security video, deputies said the incident began when Berryhill parked his vehicle in a parking lot outside the store.

Deputies said the video showed a vehicle parked directly beside Berryhill, then a confrontation that led to Berryhill trying to drive away from the scene. It was then, the deputies said, that the teen \was shot by two different suspects who fled the scene.

Authorities said that a short while later, the vehicle that fled the scene was pursued by law enforcement officers from multiple agencies, including the Wynne & Marion police departments, the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police.
