The Spanish royal family came together on Tuesday for the events of the XV anniversary of the Princess of Girona Foundation at the Melia Lloret de Mar Hotel on Tuesday in Barcelona. King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia and their daughters Princess Leonor and Princess Sofía met with winners of previous editions of the Princess of Girona Awards at the event, with Letizia and her daughters coordinating in white and neutral dressing.

Queen Letizia’s look was the ideal complementary style to her daughters’ respective outfits for the event. Princess Leonor, 18, opted for a white cotton oversize blouse with matching checkered jacquard by Roberto Verino. She paired the blouse with straight jeans in a similar shade of white by Mango.
As for her footwear, Princess Leonor’s beige wedges by Macarena Shoes perfectly complemented the shade of her mother’s dress. Queen Letizia and King Felipe’s younger daughter, Princess Sofía, 17, fashioned a similar style to that of her sister.

Sofía opted for a billowing white blouse with three-quarter-length sleeves by Ba&sh. The young royal’s high-waisted trousers were courtesy of the brand as well. Like her sister, Princess Sofía also wore a pair of beige wedges courtesy of Macarena Shoes.
While Queen Letizia’s style always stands out during official royal engagements and events, it’s not often her daughters will join her on such occasions. The XV anniversary of the Princess of Girona Foundation offered an ideal opportunity for the Spanish royal family to demonstrate their proclivity for coordinated dressing.

Although Queen Letizia, Princess Sofía and Princess Leonor’s ensembles perfectly complemented one another, they also demonstrated each royal’s individual style sensibility and approach to fashion. In the years ahead, perhaps coordinated dressing between Spain’s royal women will be a trend of note, merging individuality with harmonized sartorial statements.
