    On Instagram, the 36-year-old founder of Angela’s Cakes shared the video and picture of herself in the Oreo-filled bath, intriguing fans just two weeks after attending the 2024 BET Awards with a bedazzled gun-shaped purse. The purse choice was particularly contentious given her personal history—she lost her son’s father to gun violence.

    While some criticized Simmons for her fried Oreos campaign, she received strong support from actress and singer Keke Palmer, who commented, “The way these people are hating in your comments is something VICIOUS! I’m so blown back. Just know you doing EVERYTHING RIGHT. I have never seen people so pressed. Whew.”
