Deon Derrico Says ‘Doubling Down With the Derricos’ Is Currently Filming, Will Show ‘Everything That’s Been Going On’

The cameras are rolling. Doubling Down With the Derricos star Deon Derrico says that his family is continuing to film their TLC reality show amid his and Karen Derrico’s surprise divorce .

Deon and Karen shocked fans when it was revealed that they had filed for divorce in early June 2024. The split was finalized just a few days later, with the former couple agreeing to share custody of their 13 minor children. (Karen and Deon also have one daughter, Darian, who is over 18.)

The TLC star knows that Doubling Down With the Derricos viewers have a lot of questions about the end of his and Karen’s marriage. He says that they’ll get some answers — eventually.

“Just so you guys are aware, we are currently filming everything that’s been going on,” Deon said in an Instagram video posted on July 2. “So you guys don’t have to keep asking. We already know. There’s a lot happening. A lot going on. A lot of moving parts. A lot of moving legs.”

Karen and Deon have not shared a reason for their divorce. In a statement shared with People , they said that they remained “unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children — their well-being is our priority.”

In his Instagram update, Deon promised that people would be able to “follow” his and Karen’s story and “find out exactly what happened.”

​​“I don’t really want to go into it. It’s been a lot, as you guys can imagine,” he added. “We’ve been through a lot, as you guys can imagine. But we’re making it. We’re doing good.”

“Our primary goal is to make sure that our children are happy and feeling heard and loved and all that good stuff,” he went on to say. “And that’s both Mommy and my primary goal to make sure that we keep our children filled with the love they’ve grown up knowing they had.”

Will there be a ‘Doubling Down With the Derricos’ Season 6?

Doubling Down With the Derricos Season 5 wrapped up on July 2. TLC has not confirmed that the show will return for season 6. But Deon is assuring fans that the family’s show will continue.

“You guys will be able to follow along and find out how [we ended up divorced and] where we’re going from here,” he said.

“We are filming right now for our new show, new season,” he said. “ Doubling Down With the Derricos continues.”
