    2 killed in Perry County ‘strip job’ shooting identified

    PERRY COUNTY, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Authorities told FOX 56 that two people have died following an overnight shooting near a “strip job” in Perry County.

    Kentucky State Police (KSP) Trooper Matt Gayheart said it happened around 3 a.m. on Wednesday in a remote area near Polly Hollow in the Avawam community.

    According to state police, shots were fired, injuring one male and killing two others. The Perry County Coroner told FOX 56 that the deceased have been identified as 18-year-old Anthony Stidham and 20-year-old Braxton Marlowe.

    State police said that the injured victim was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. His identity has not been released at this time.

    Trooper Gayheart told FOX 56 that a pair was “quickly identified as suspects.” Around 11:49 a.m. on Wednesday, state police arrested 19-year-old Emmaleigh Collins and 20-year-old Treston Combs in the Jeff community of Perry County.

    Combs was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of wanton endangerment, and one count of attempted murder, according to state police. Collins was charged with two counts of complicity to murder.

    Combs and Collins were both lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
