Lisa Kudrow has finally cleared up some comments that landed her in hot water recently.

In an Actors on Actors interview for Variety last month, Friends star Jennifer Aniston sat down with Abbott Elementary ‘s Quinta Brunson for chat.

In their conversation, Aniston mentioned that Kudrow “hated when the audience laughed” during Friends filming, saying, “She’d be like, “I’m not done! It’s not that funny!”

Kudrow, who played the quirky Phoebe Buffay in the show, settled the allegations once and for all in her recent interview with Entertainment Tonight .

“No, that’s not exactly — no, no,’ Kudrow told the outlet. “It irritated me if they would laugh for too long,” said said, adding, “God bless them.”

She went on to explain that the excitement of the audience, who were so enthusiastic to be at the live taping, caused them to laugh longer than they would have at anything else.

“I was like, ‘All right, well, take it easy. It’s not that funny. And there’s more to say!'” Kudrow told ET .

Perry’s death no doubt hit the cast hard, with each of them sharing tributes to their late friend on their Instagram. In her recent interview, Aniston became choked up when discussing the anniversary of the show and shared, “It really is a family forever.”

Kudrow also recently revealed that she has begun watching the show back for the first time ever.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter , Kudrow said, “Honestly, I wasn’t able to watch it because it’s too embarrassing to watch yourself. But if I make it about Matthew, then that’s OK.”

She continued, “And it’s just celebrating how hilarious he was — and that is what I want to remember [about him].”

The show staged a reunion back in 2021 that was delayed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The special featured all six original cast members and brought back some of fans’ favorite featured characters, such as James Michael Tyler (Gunther) as well Elliot Gould (Jack Geller) and Christina Pickles (Judy Geller).

While there are certain to be celebrations for the upcoming anniversary, it is unclear as of now what exact plans the former cast may have in the works.
